Cyrus responded to criticism over Miley's most recent striptease--I mean, "performance"--at the Teen Choice Awards, where the 16-year-old sang while hanging onto a pole on top of an ice cream truck. Basically, the man has no problem with his daughter acting way beyond her years, and he continues to tell his daughter to "love what you're doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinion."
I ask again: what is this douche smoking!? I'm sorry, but hanging off a stripper pole while scantily dressed has nothing to do with the art of music...although she's beginning to show a promising career in being an adult performer. Also, he tells her to not worry so much about opinion--I believe his heart is in the right place, because I agree to an extent. You shouldn't try to be something you're not. The problem is, that's exactly what Miley is doing. She's trying to be an adult--which she is not.
I suddenly saw into the future, and Miley's light is dimming soon. It's sad that this girl will basically have the peak of her career before she's even legal, but I think she just needs to go away for awhile. If she's really serious about the business, then she'll go away, lay low for awhile, and come back as a true artist--not just an entertainer.
Although, Billy Ray Bumpkin says that "Miley loves entertaining people"--porn stars and strippers fall under the entertainer category, right?
